UNIVERSITY OF UTAH'S
ASIAN AMERICAN STUDENT ASSOCIATION
The Asian American Student Association is a cultural organization at the University of Utah. We are dedicated to promoting and celebrating Asian and Asian American culture through education, awareness, and appreciation. We focus on providing educational resources and support to both college and high school students. We raise awareness of social and political issues facing our communities through discussions, workshops, and awareness events. We celebrate Asian and Asian American cultures by recognizing our histories and showing our appreciation for all backgrounds. We are dedicated to providing a safe and welcoming community for Asian and Asian American students on campus and in our communities.
The 19th annual Asian American High School Conference will be held on Friday, March 2nd at the University of Utah. This year's theme is "RepresentASIAN" and will examine issues of Asian American representation in media. Students will be provided with various academic and critical learning workshops and resources, opportunities to connect with faculty and students at the U, and fun activities to interact with hundreds of other high school students from around Utah. Student registration will open in early 2018, and AASA volunteers will be traveling to various high schools to table and talk with students about the event.
