Art and Social Justice Series: Introducing Dr. Ananya Chatterjea | April 21-21rd
This 3-day lecture series is designed to introduce students to the interdisciplinary work of dance artist, educator, scholar and activist Ananya Chatterjea. Interweaving the biographies and histories of women of color, the environment, and performance in various global contexts, her work physicalizes politics, choreographing identities and relationships in multiple arenas. Chatterjea’s focus is on “intersections of different forms and practices in South East Asia [and Africa], the teach[ing] and investigation of the dancing body through new approaches, and building platforms of new ideas.”

Open to graduating high school seniors, undergraduate students (community college and university), and graduate students in accredited colleges and universities. Applicants must demonstrate leadership through academic achievements and campus/community activities; be Science, Technology, Engineering or Math related majors; have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher; be of Latina/o origin and/or must significantly participate in and promote organizations and activities in the Latina/o community. The HENAAC Scholarship is open to undocumented students (with or without DACA), U.S. Permanent Residents, and U.S. Citizens.

"Calling all University women! We need YOU to be the face of the exciting new Women’s Enrollment Initiative (WEI) at the University of Utah. We want photos of real students, especially those of you who have used the resources that the University has to offer. Please help us bring this campaign to life! Feel free to come alone or bring friends with you for fun group photos!
We will be having an open photo shoot and need 10 minutes or less of your time. Please stop by the Crimson Commons Recreation Area on the first floor of the Union—right by the pool tables and bowling alley—at any point between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14 and Wednesday, April 15"

Andrew Choi is a Doctoral student at the University of California Santa Barbara and he is currently looking for participants from the Rocky Mountain region to interview via skype about racial identity! ***Research Study Participation: Asian American Political Activism | Looking for Vietnamese Americans To Participate!
We are looking for volunteers to participate in an online survey that will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. You will be asked to answer some questions about yourself and your opinions about political issues.
To be eligible you must: (1) identify as Vietnamese; (2) be born in the US or have come to the United States with the intention of staying permanently; (3) have lived in the U.S. for at least 3 years; and (4) be 18 years of age or older.
