South Asian Sensation Mo:Mo Fundraising for Nepal | May 4th-8th University of Utah Union Bldg
As many of you already know a massive 7.9 earthquake recently occurred in Nepal. The death toll keeps rising every hour while hundreds of people remain homeless. People are scared to go inside their homes due to continuous aftershocks. Our own families have been living in the streets for the past few days. Stores are running out of food and water or have completely shut down.
**UPDATE: You have till Saturday mid-night, May 2nd, to place your order and we can deliver or you can pick up next week starting Monday, May 4th!
South Asian Sensation will be selling Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian (Turkey) mo:mo (Nepali version of dumplings) and will be donating all the money we get to America Nepal Medical Foundation; which is providing emergency recovery reliefs and medical services for the victims.
***Prices: 10 pieces for $10 or 15 pieces for $12. You can order online or fill out order forms at CESA at the University of Utah Union Building. You will be paying with CASH when you pick up the mo:mos.

2015 Utah Asian Festival | Saturday, June 13th 10am-7pm
The Utah Asian communities invite you to celebrate 2015 Utah Asian Festival. Come enjoy a pageantry of performances, exhibits, vendor booths, arts and crafts and food! Cultures represented include Cambodian, Chinese, Filipino, Hawaiian, Indian, Indonesian, Korean, Laotian, Taiwanese, Thai, Tibetan and Vietnamese. We will have a special spotlight this year on the country of Japan.
This is a family event, and we will have a booth for children which will include arts and crafts, and activities for children of all ages.
As a part of the festivities, we invite you to join us for our first ever Asian Pop Dance, starting at 5 PM. Cosplay and fun dress is encouraged.

"We are looking for volunteers to participate in an online survey that will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. You will be asked to answer some questions about yourself and your opinions about political issues.
To be eligible you must: (1) identify as Vietnamese; (2) be born in the United States or have come to the United States with the intention of staying permanently; (3) have lived in the U.S. for at least 3 years; and (4) be 18 years of age or older. Please note that you are not eligible for the study if you are an international student or visitor who is not planning to reside permanently in the U.S.
You do not have to be politically or socially active to participate. Participation is completely voluntary and you may discontinue the study at any time for any reason without penalty. Your answers will be kept confidential. For students recruited in a course: Your participation will have no effect on your standing in class."
