Dr. Kathryn Kay, Director of the Office of Orientation & Leadership has agreed to host a workshop for AASA on Friday, November 30 regarding the Importance of Historically Oppressed Groups Building Allies & Managing Advocacy Fatigue. ITSA: Bundle Up Clothing Drive I December 1, 2012-December 7, 2012 I American Indian Resource Center
Inter-Tribal Student Association is holding a clothing drive for the first week of December to help out people without a home. If you have any new or gently used women's, children's, and men's clothing, please donate them. Priority items are jackets, casual pants, sweaters, gloves, hats, and warm socks. However, all clothing items will be accepted. Please drop off clothing donations at the American Indian Resource Center (AIRC), 1925 De Trobriand Street Bldg. #622, Fort Douglas or schedule pick up time.
Mandarin Speaking Volunteers Needed!! I Ridgecrest Elementary School
If you guys speak Mandarin and are looking for a place to volunteer at, then look no further!!! Ridgecrest Elementary is looking for volunteers to help in their mandarin classes, to help support the instruction their kids are receiving. They are hoping to get some additional support with conversational skills, writing, and reading and even some math facts, which are taught in Mandarin.
