This year's theme is "Explor-ASIAN". The main goals of this conference are to encourage Asian American students to explore their own path during college despite expectations set on them and to understand that college is much more than just classes and grades. Please fill out the application below if you want to volunteer this year! There will also be more opportunities as well down the road so keep an eye out for those. Applications close November 12th!
About High School COnference
The Asian American High School Conference is an annual event dedicated to promoting post-secondary education and providing educational resources to high school students around the state of Utah. Held in early spring, the conference brings hundreds of students to the University of Utah for a day of cultural and educational workshops. Students go through multiple workshops that cover various topics, including majors, programs, scholarships, financial aid, leadership opportunities, cultural exploration, and Asian American identity. Students also have the opportunity to engage with community leaders and university advisors, administrators, professors, and students. This event provides students the chance to establish meaningful connections while learning about the importance of higher education and exploring self-identity and Asian cultures and issues.
This event is free for all students, and AASA will provide free breakfast and lunch for all participants. More information will be released as the event approaches.
