AASA goes to USC's APIA U Spring 2011
The Asian American Student Association will host the APIA U Leadership Conference in Spring 2013. The Asian Pacific Islander American (APIA) University Leadership Conference is dedicated to the leadership development of APIA student leaders and youth activists. The training is specific to the experiences of APIAs and includes interactive training, group dialogues, and presentations led by qualified APIA facilitators. It focuses on self-awareness, team-building, and direct action organizing. Each year, the Asian American Student Association either attends or hosts the conference. The University of Utah will host the conference in Spring 2013!

Asian American Art Exhibit Spring 2012
In the Fall of 2011, AASA officers Diana Phung and Emilio Manuel Camu started the program to exhibit artistic works expressing the experience and narrative of Asian American youth in the state of Utah. There were a total of 11 submissions from four different institutions displayed at the University Union's Lobby. It has become an annual event and will be traditional held during Asian American Awareness Week.
