Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service

When: Saturday, January 19, 2013
            8:30AM-12PM
Where: Meet at the Bennion Center (first floor of the A. Ray Olpin Union Building)


This day includes diverse projects with community organizations working in social justice issues. Projects will include:

• First Step House: Deep cleaning of the facilites.
• Utah AIDS Foundation: A mailing project, putting together safe sex kits, and cleaning the facilities.
• Hartland Partnership Center: Moving materials into a new building and setting up the youth center with the youth leadership committee.
• Maliheh Free Clinic: Minor repairs and painting projects.
  
• YWCA: Cleaning the facilities.
  
• KUED: Helping with the annual Super Reader Party.  Registration, handing out materials, and passing out snacks.  Great project for kids.
  

*Group Registration: If you have a group of 10 or more people and would like to stay together on a project, please email JaNae Lilly with your preferred project to reserve a place.

Bennion Center Volunteer Retreat

All students are welcome to join other volunteers at our annual retreat. Participants will learn about civic engagement, create a community, and make new friends.
