AASA Squads 2021-22

There are currently 6 Squads in AASA!
​In these squads, you can gather points and win prizes/bragging rights for your squad. Below are some ideas to gather points and a form to submit things you've done together to garner points. We will try to update the winning community here as often as possible. If you were not able to join a squad and would like to, email aasa.uofu@gmail.com!

  • 1st place: 6tea9 - 520 points

  • 2nd place: Triple Shot - 160 points

  • 3rd place: Asian Boba Gang - 120 points

  • 4th place: Fourtwentea - 100 points

Points 
  • 5 POINTS (Category - Attendance to AASA related events)
    • Individually earn for each squad members 
      • 5 points for each person in a squad that goes to Weekly Meetings, events, anything that is hosted by AASA (AAW, movie night, fundraising, social events, fill out the survey forms, etc.) 
      • Submissions will be needed for the other AASA-hosted events &  activities, weekly meetings will be based on the check-in/attendance list
  • 10 POINTS (Category - Getting to know your squad-Beginning Level)
    • Forming a group chat within any of the socials/platforms that is other than emails. 
    • Meet and study together (in person or virtual)
    • Make a squad playlist
    • Share in the group chat your interests/ hobby
  • 20 POINTS (Category - Getting to know your squad-Medium Level)
    • Get boba together 
    • Eat lunch/dinner/breakfast together
    • Attend an EDI/CESB or campus-related event together
  • 30 POINTS (Category - Connecting to others in another squad)
    • Plan a squad activity or event with another squad
    • Attend to another squad activity or event
  • 40 POINTS (Category - Getting to know your squad-Advance Level)
    • Make food together 
    • Playing online/board/card games together
    • Watch movies, thrifting, volunteer, make art, hiking, etc together 
    • Attend a community-based event together (such as through OCA Utah, Living Traditions, Utah Asian Fest, etc)
  • 50 POINTS (Category - Squad Challenges)
    • Doing challenges as a squad and with other squads (any challenge!) example: TikTok video [need at least 10 people to do the challenge] 
    • AASAlympics that will possibly be held in the Spring semester

Rules:
  • One person submitted the point form only for submission points for the group
    • Submissions must be a selfie or group picture.
  • Individuals can submit their individual tasks once per day. 
    • Maximum to 4 activities, all individual activities should be different and should only be submitted once. 
  • Need at least one squad leader/officer to be presented for the squad activity. 
    • Minimum of 5 members present to be counted (not including squad leader).
  • If members have any activity ideas, you can still submit and we can decide the points. 
  • There is no limitation for the activity in one day for group activity. 
  • Virtual options of activities, events, etc are encouraged and will be counted for points as well. 

Bonus: If you do something with your squad and it is not a task on here, you can submit it and we will decide how many points it deserves.
